FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Please go to my price page for a list of the size of drawing pads I work with and the cost.
Click on the order form button at the top of the page, complete the order form and pay a 20% deposit via the Stripe payment platform.
I will email you as soon as I can to confirm receipt of the order form and deposit. Please give me as much time as you can if you require a pencil portrait by a specific date. If you need a pencil portrait urgently, please complete my contact form with details and I will email you to advise if possible.
When the pencil portrait(s) is complete, I will email you with an image attached to review and pay the balancing payment.
On receipt of payment notification from PayPal, I will ship via Royal Mail 1st class post or next day special delivery for size A3 pencil portrait. For overseas orders, I will ship via Royal Mail International Track and sign. Portrait(s) to you via Royal Mail 1st class post.
Portraits will take between 1 to 8 weeks to complete depending on workload, size and number of subjects or I will complete them nearer to the date you require the pencil portrait(s).
The photo I require can be either digital or conventional, the clearer and sharper the photograph you send to me, the better your portrait will be. Please send the original size photo and not a photo of a photo if possible.

Yes, I will draw from separate photos of individuals or pets onto the drawing pad as a group setting.
Pencil portraits are drawn on an extra smooth surface drawing pad with Ivory black drawing pencils.
Each completed pencil portrait is sprayed with gloss varnish which forms a colourless glass clear coating making it resistant to smearing and smudging.

I am happy to accept overseas orders/commissions and ship via Royal Mail International Tracked and signed.
Pencil portraits will be delivered using Royal Mail or Royal Mail International.
Pencil portraits are inserted into hardback padded envelopes marked not to bend. Framed pencil portraits are securely packed into corrugated cardboard and marked fragile.

Postage and packing are £5 in the UK for sizes A6, A5 and A4 pencil portraits, and £8.25 for A3. For overseas orders £9.50

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required.
I use Stripe to handle my online card payment transactions for a deposit payment via my order form and PayPal for balancing payments. Both are free and secure services, and you don’t need an account.
When you complete my order form, you will pay the non-refundable 20% deposit via Stripe. A PayPal Pay Now button is also located on my payment page to make payments.
All photographs sent to me will be sent back to you in your parcel.
I am confident you will be satisfied with your pencil portrait; however, if you are not happy with your pencil portrait, you can send it back to me and receive a refund if I receive it within 5 days.
