FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Click the Order Form button at the top of the page, then enter the required information. A 20% deposit is required and can be paid securely via PayPal.

I will email you to confirm receipt of your order and deposit. If you need the portrait by a certain date, please give me as much notice as possible. If it is urgent, please use my contact form, and I will let you know whether I can accommodate it.

When your portrait is completed, I will email you a preview and send the final invoice. Once the balance is paid (via PayPal), I will post it to you:
– UK orders go by Royal Mail 1st Class or Special Delivery (A3 size)
– International orders are sent using Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.

It usually depends on my availability, how busy I am, the size of the portrait, and how many people or pets are required. If you need it ready by a certain date, I will aim to have it done in time.

You can send me either a digital or printed photo. The clearer and sharper the image, the better the portrait will turn out. Please try to send the original photo, not a photo of a photo, and ensure it is the best quality you have.

You can send your photo as an attachment through my contact form, order form, or by email. If you prefer, you can also post it to the address on my contact page.

Yes, you can. I can use separate photos of people or pets and combine them into a single portrait.

I draw each portrait on extra smooth drawing paper using high-quality watercolour or studio pencils. When it’s finished, I spray it with a clear gloss varnish to help protect it from smudging.

I offer portraits in the following sizes:
– A6: 105 x 148 mm
– A5: 148 x 210 mm
– A4: 210 x 297 mm
– A3: 297 x 420 mm

Yes, I’m happy to take orders from overseas. I post international portraits using Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.

I send portraits using Royal Mail for UK orders, and Royal Mail International for orders outside the UK.

Unframed portraits are inserted into strong, padded envelopes with a hard backing and marked “Do Not Bend.” Framed portraits are securely wrapped in corrugated cardboard and marked “Fragile” to ensure safe delivery.

Postage and packing costs:

– £8.25 in the UK for A3 portraits
